Programs for schools
Part of the Learning in Peace, Educating without Violence program (APEV)
A system for transforming classroom practices, reinforcing learning and preventing educational violence.
The APEV school program supports teachers and administrators in changing teaching practices towards more inclusive, participative and protective methods.
In schools faced with overcrowded classrooms and educational practices still marked by violence, this section provides very concrete answers: improving learning in French and mathematics, calming the classroom climate and strengthening the teacher-student relationship.
It combines initial teacher training with practical classroom application, supported by a dedicated pedagogical collection.
Train
Strengthening teachers’ pedagogical skills
Designed as a genuine professional development pathway, the program helps teachers adopt more active, inclusive and non-violent methods.
Through interactive training and a continuous development guide, they learn to :
- value each student,
- encourage participation,
- install soothing educational postures,
- create a stimulating learning environment.
Transform
Put new ways of teaching into practice with our collection of teaching guides
After the training course, teachers make concrete changes to their classroom practices. The “Rethinking Core Learning” collection offers:
- structured activities to reinforce basic learning,
- systems that develop cooperation
- tools for positive classroom management
These resources are designed to help you put in place effective, caring practices that promote success and the pleasure of learning.
Support
Supporting principals to sustain change
School principals play a decisive role in the sustainability of the transformation. The accompanying guide designed by Graines de Paix helps them to :
- strengthen pedagogical leadership,
- mobilize and support their teams,
- create a calm, collaborative school climate,
- anchor rewarding educational practices in the school’s culture
This support strengthens cohesion within the schools and ensures that the changes initiated are sustained over the long term.
School program objectives
The guide has five complementary objectives:
- Equipping principals to strengthen their positive pedagogical leadership and ability to mobilize.
- Create a peaceful school climate based on cooperation, trust and mutual respect.
- Prevent and deal with educational violence and extremism by equipping schools with effective and sustainable methods.
- Ensuring educational continuity, even in crisis situations.
- Encourage clubs and rituals that reinforce group spirit, participation and inclusion.
