An educational vision to prevent violence – Delia Mamon’s talk to Rotary District 1900

In front of an audience of 80, she shared her vision of a holistic education that develops life skills from childhood onwards, in order to prevent violence, whether visible, invisible or extreme.

She spoke of the silent violence that undermines teachers and pupils in Switzerland, and of the concrete actions taken in West Africa to strengthen peace education, in close collaboration with educational authorities.

The talk generated a great deal of interest and discussion, confirming the importance of linking educational issues to current societal and geopolitical challenges.
