Training guide for the educational chain
A resource from the Better Schools for Girls (BGS) program
A guide designed to support trainers and equip primary school teachers. It supports the implementation of inclusive classrooms, the prevention of violence and the promotion of gender equality.
What the guide suggests
Three thematic modules
Training sequences focusing on emotion management, gender equity and positive pedagogy, to support teachers in their efforts to develop inclusive and peaceful practices.
Progressive sequences
Each module follows a clear progression (trigger, exchange, reflection, action), to make it easier for teachers to run training courses and take ownership of them.
A transition to classroom practice
At the end of the training courses, teachers receive a teaching kit. It enables them to transform what they have learned into concrete activities with their pupils.
Participatory and inclusive teaching
This guide is based on active and experiential methods, adapted to the local context. It provides trainers with concrete tools to help teachers adopt inclusive and respectful practices, based on cooperation, dialogue and emotional management.
Users of the guide: players in the education chain (trainers, pedagogical advisors, inspectors, principals, master trainers).
Participants concerned: primary school teachers.
Format: printed trainer’s guide
