Meagan Fallone

Meagan Fallone is a social entrepreneur and international leader whose work sits at the intersection of climate, human development and technology. She brings over twenty years of experience leading large-scale systemic transformations.
A 2018 Hillary Institute Laureate for global leadership in climate, poverty reduction, social justice and women’s empowerment, she is also recognized as a social entrepreneur by the Schwab Foundation. Her work has contributed to lasting improvements in the lives of more than ten million women and girls worldwide.
As former co-founder and CEO (Emeritus) of Barefoot College International, she contributed to the development of community-based programs implemented in over 90 countries, particularly in education, access to renewable energy and women’s leadership. One flagship program enabled more than 1.6 million people to gain access to electricity through the training of rural women.
Meagan Fallone also founded StepUp Advisors, a consulting firm supporting social entrepreneurs, organizations, companies and governments in designing high-impact strategies, particularly in the fields of education, climate, agriculture, health, technology and renewable energy.
She previously held senior leadership roles at CARE USA, serving as the organization’s first Entrepreneur-in-Residence and as Executive Director of Climate and Climate Justice, where she led the integration of climate and technology solutions across CARE’s programs.
She currently serves on the United Nations High-Level Panel on Climate Synergies and the Sustainable Development Goals, and collaborates with the World Economic Forum on social and environmental innovation. She brings to the Graines de Paix Foundation a strategic vision grounded in systemic leadership, responsible innovation and cross-sector partnerships.
