To have humility is to experience reality, not in relation to ourselves, but in its sacred independence. It is to see, judge, and act from the point of rest in ourselves.

Then, how much disappears, and all that remains falls into place. In the point of rest at the center of our being, we encounter a world where all things are at rest in the same way...

Happiness through the pursuit of a goal

If you want to live a happy life tie it to a goal. Not to people or things.


We cannot despair of ourselves

We cannot despair of humanity since we are ourselves human beings.

Your living is determined not so much by what life brings to you as by the attitude you bring to life ; not so much by what happens to you as by the way your mind looks at what happens.
