Graines de Paix Foundation
Graines de Paix celebrates its 20th anniversary and launches Graines de Paix 2.0 for the next 20 years. Winner of the UNESCO-Hamdan Prize (2022) and the Smart Peace Prize (2019), our NGO is a pioneer in the transformation of education in Switzerland and Africa.
We develop educational programs and resources that combine academic learning, human values and life skills learning, essential for quality education, violence prevention, peace and respect for nature.
Our actions strengthen students' self-esteem, mental well-being and a full set of life skills, while supporting teachers and families to prevent violence and foster learning harmony.
In partnership with the Ministries of Education, Social Affairs and Gender Equality, we contribute directly to SDGs 3, 4, 5 and 16.
Our programs are run in Switzerland and Africa, and are aimed at teachers, students at pedagogical institutes, community organizers, social workers, religious leaders and parents. Our beneficiaries are pupils and children, girls and boys, of all ages, from any region or country.
Responsibilities
Lead the design and management of an e-learning platform (Graines de Paix 2.0)
- Design and animate experiential e-learning modules.
- Integrate the ethical use of AI as a support tool for teachers.
- Take part in coaching participants.
Co-manage the pedagogical components of our national and international programs
- Assume leadership of certain large-scale projects.
- Build partnerships with international agencies and educational authorities.
- Provide strategic direction to our internal and external evaluations.
Foster our development
- Host discussion groups in our forthcoming EdLab.
- Develop a group of pedagogy trainees.
Profile sought
Academic qualifications
- Master's level in one of the following fields:
Education, Psychology, Teaching or equivalent.
Professional experience
- Adult training and creation/adaptation/digitization of pedagogical tools.
- Past primary, secondary or vocational teaching
- Management of programs, teams, budgets, and evaluation studies.
- Experience in international, multicultural and local contexts.
Technical skills
- Proven experience with e-learning platforms, teaching software packages and applied AI technologies.
- Ability to conduct research, analyze data and use findings to improve teaching methods.
- Ability to write fluently, quickly and in a clearly structured manner.
Language skills
- Fluency in English and French.
Personal and interpersonal skills
- Innovative, open-minded, energetic, proactive.
- Able to interact at high level, persuade, build trust.
- Skilled at nurturing colleagues and building consensus.
- Keenly aware of today's major issues.
