''To be or not to be'' concert to benefit Graines de Paix

May 13th, 8pm. Madeleine Theatre (Théâtre de la Madeleine), in the heart of Geneva.

Young Swiss pianist Joseph-Maurice Weder is playing for our NGO.


The young pianist’s upcoming tour, where he performs works by Liszt and Schumann, is coming to the Madeleine Theatre in Geneva mid-May. Weder’s profits from the concert will be donated to Graines de Paix.

Who is Joseph-Maurice Weder ?


“A marvelous musician with astonishingly brilliant technique” Gautier Capuçon.

Joseph-Maurice Weder entered the Basel Musikhochschule at the age of 12, under the tutelage of professor Adrian Oetiker. From 2011 to 2015, he studied with professor Filippo Gamba. He followed Master’s coursework with Piotr Anderszewski, Dmitri Alexeev, professors Homero Francesch, Gérard Wyss and Louis Lortie.

Winning the prestigious Swiss Ambassador’s Award from his first recital at Wigmore Hall in London in 2013 allowed Joseph-Maurice Weder to begin his international career. He captured the attention of critics and the public since then.

He performed in prestigious concert halls such as the Berlin Philharmonie, the Musikverein in Vienna, the Hamburg Laeiszhalle, Wigmore Hall in London, the Tonhalle in Zurich and the Konzerthaus in Vienna. Weder completed multiple tours in South America (Brazil, Argentina, Columbia, Peru, Ecuador, Uruguay) and Europe (United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Spain, Norway and Switzerland).
